stormtrackertf
This is a bad one. Its making big headlines around the region and some of the descriptions of the mass destruction are awful. This is why sometimes 1" - 3" of fluff can be the most deadly type of snow. Once again ill pass. Just heartbreaking to see. Can't count the amount of times I go through that area every week, at least 3 or 4 times a day it seems. Could have easily been me if it were an hour earlier or later. SpartyOn
The good news is that these bands of death are slowly exiting the Detroit metro region.
snowstormcanuck
I can only estimate but I'd say possibly up to 3" has fallen in Etobicoke. Just starting to get some flakes here in Mississauga.

stormtrackertf
The good news is that these bands of death are slowly exiting the Detroit metro region. I was out there driving during the one that caused the disaster on I-75, and only twice have I ever seen snow that heavy. Just insanely intense with those 40 mph gusts, I love snow but stuff like this is just dangerous and doesn't even leave behind much to look at. Very bad situation. snowstormcanuck
When I left my house in mississauga it was clear with blue sky as soon as I hit Pearson a blizzard struck. frostfern
2" here as of 7AM...more now. Lol, the eastern side of the state is doing better than me. I don't even have 2" yet. I think the wind must be blowing it all straight over my head. The visibility is terrible for driving because the wind is whipping it around like crazy but it's not exactly accumulating much. Ajdos
Had a band move through my area 45 minutes ago, and I'm not going to lie but that was the most intense snowfall Ive ever seen. RobertSul
Drove from Canton to Ann Arbor earlier today and there were legitimate white-outs on the way there. Visibility was about 50-100 feet AT BEST.
frostfern
I seem to be stuck in a screw-hole between bands. Filtered sunshine.

Harry Perry
Wow, in surprised the NWS pulled the trigger on a lake effect snow warning for Calhoun county. We’ve had about an inch total so far. It will snow moderately for 5 minutes or less followed by 15-20 minutes of flurries. If the convergence band sets up shop then I could understand the warning, but at this rate it will take a week to acquire 8″.

There's fairly widespread good synoptic conditions but I think the wind speed needs to die down a little.

Wow you guys are killing it out there in Toronto. Looks to be a band stalled over downtown right now as per GRLevel. Maybe only 1" so far in Guelph. We've have a few bands roll through but nothing that has lasted very long. Congrats!

Per radar it looked like the heart of the band was aimed more at midtown than downtown?

The jibes with what I was thinking for imby. AOB 3". Kinda nervous with the sun peaking through and temps only a few degrees below freezing that a lot of it is going to be melted before I get a chance to measure.
