The biggest complainer here should start their own thread( they know who they are) and just voice issues, whines, and complaints. There would be 5-10 posters in there and they could complain amongst themselves

I'm not a doubter, I'm optimistic going into Feb. There is a difference when being more of a optimistic realist vs weenies who think we are going to get 50" of snow between now and mid Feb.

Those analogs keep showing some of BUF's coldest days ever...but nothing looks nearly the cold in the modeling...interesting.

 

I think I found the coldest airmass in history right here...Jan 17th, 1982.

 

below -32C on the 12z sounding at 850mb.  -30c to NYC that evening.

 

Temp was -10F at 12z with a 23 kt west wind...thicknesses of 479dm.

 

 

-45 c contour makes an appearence
