um it's kind of still fresh but I'll give the very undetailed details.  Yesterday I was leaving my house, there were 3 police officers outside with a parked car.  All four doors were open.  I was stopped, questioned about the car etc but because I hadn't been home the last few days I wasn't much help.  Well...come to find out there was a person in the car and it was my friend...deceased of an apparent suicide.  Right in front of my house.  

Jesus man. That is horrible! I am so sorry for your loss. Hang in there. I know that is easier said than done, but be strong man.

All guidance has some warming for a day or so this weekend, but the GFS is the warmest. I'd probably think we'll have a day in the mid to upper 30s.

yeah i think it's definitely possible. at least for the coastal plain. maybe higher areas can stay in the upper 30s but there's some pretty good agreement on a brief period of mild weather ahead of the second arctic front.

Ha, thanks guys. A few days of upper 30s-40 is no big deal, although it probably will melt any light/mod accums we get Wednesday.

the 00z euro and 12z gfs are just brutally cold in the mid/long range. i've said '05 type flip coming and that may very well be close to reality.

GFS shows little precip with that Arctic blast but if its in the mid 30's at noon Sunday and that push comes through around 5 ish expect some wild squalls Windsexy style. Would be cool to see a wind whipped zero visibility squall at kickoff.

Thanks Scott...my town has had a horrible stretch since I was in 8th grade.  5,000 people in the town...a combined regional school with 800 total kids.  Here's the first letter of people from 8th grade to now...remember how small my school was.

I might be forgetting one or two (how sad is that?) but even still that's 14 kids from one high school in 9 years.  Most of them happened when I was still in high school so it was over a 4 year span.  Awful luck, I've had to see people about it.

Barring any massive shifts N (GFS is the warmest right now), TOL will be fine for at least a few inches if not several.  If everything warms up the midlevels later today, then we can troll.

things may not work out, but after this week, i like the chances for eastern areas. much more favorable.

It's going to be a brutal shock after the last 2 winters.  I skied one day in it last cold shot, not fun.
