Sorry to hear of that loss :(

My kitty was sick and ailing, but when I finally couldn't stand to see her in pain any longer, I caved.  The Vet was sympathetic; she placed a hand upon my shoulder and said, 'it's time, there's nothing that can be done'.  Having no alternative it was clear the best recourse was at hand.

She sat as she always did, curling her front paws inward, this time upon a gurney I knew she didn't want to be.  Her eyes, despite deaths inevitability, were like crystal emeralds of green and yellow.  As the nurse administered Weenge's last appointment, her eyes chose that time to twitched to mine, and she simply murmured a labored mew.   She was gone.

I will never own a pet again.  I loved her.

I dont reply much here..but your going to let a past pet  deprive another from being in your home...I know it's hard but they will thank you endlessly

Tip, that shows your a good person to have a pet, losing the first one hurts the most, I drove home from the vet crying with my other dog howling all the way, I got over it and will go through it again with the one I have, hopefully not for a long time.

oh gosh, all this talk of losing pets is killing me. Condolences and hugs to all those who know the pain of saying goodbye to a cherished family member.

Tip, you clearly loved your cat so much...i do think you should consider the possibility of offering that great love to another pet. Especially all those animals in shelters who are so desperately waiting to find someone to give them so much love. Pets are wonderful, and the pain of saying goodbye is just so awful but the love is just so wonderful!

Aside from this week, two things to watch after Thursday.

1) The clipper for Saturday/Sunday. Some signs it might try to get squeezed further south like the 06z gfs has.

2) the 1/22 deal looks for real...in some shape or form. Key H5 features to the west and north are there.

Nice to wake up to these model runs--hopefully the trending will continue.  We need more qpf.  :)

Just flipped on the porch light and it looks like the snow cover's held through the overnight, though I won't be sure of that until light.  Will take a measurement later on.  And, of course, the melting continues, so we'll see if it maintains until the cooldown.

This is hideous.  39.2/39

Snowcover mostly gone..Some patches left in different spots. so Ginx took a beating on that call.  But AWT..winter returned on the 15th and a low end WSW event appears on it's way tomorrow night. We are about to enter a very special 6 week period for winter wx fans. One that we will always remember with fondness in years to come.

Nor does Flacco

Anything that levels the playing field is bad for NE. I'm all for a wintry day, but high winds would wreak havoc with the passing and kicking games - introducing too much chaos for my liking.

Snowpack hanging tough here, but temps will soar today with mixing - so not out of the woods yet. Sure hope the extended isn't as boring as GYX seems to think it will be.

For once, we get closer and things don't regress. This pattern has always looked good and has potential..question is how much. When you approach a pattern and it does not regress..the potential always increases. Lets hope for some fun.

Yes. Kind of like when a KU is on the way and the last 3-4 runs keep making it even bigger as happened in some of our recent huge events.
