Typhoon Tip Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 Well that was a disconcerting set of runs last night. Bare ground with arctic air is no fun. Yeah, it is/was definitely a bit rough for the snow enthusiasts to see a lot of wasted cold. Personally I am not surprised as the lowering amplitude for the Tuesday system. The SPV is just too strong and over-powering. Better chances probably materialize when the gradient slackens (aloft) a bit, and there is residual cold thickness' in place.
