Well this is a forum of winter snow and cold lovers. You certainly love to remind all of us about how warm and unsnowy it is. I don't have a problem with your posts in general, but you do seem to like to rub it in. It's why some people label your posts as trolling even though you throw out "facts". Don't go getting defensive and upset on me now. Obviously people can post about winter warmth and positive departures, but I'm not sure any of us find it quite as exciting and amazing as you do.

I normally always agree with you but don't this time.  I detest warm weather in the winter more than anyone.  I hate it with a passion.  BUT, if it's going to be 40 and non-snowy I'd rather have it 50 and non-snowy.  Both are useless to me for skating etc.  I can always go up north for skiing and snow.   I do think a few times Joe was throwing barbs but it's hard to blame him with all the crap he gets back.  I mean I appreciate the information on departures, the history behind it etc.  It's weather, and all weather is interesting.

Moving on...

GFS starting to fold I think on the PV making it deep into the US inside of 10 days.  Big jump north this run, I'm thinking the GEFS will start to follow.  I like the Euro Ensembles.

EDIT

Note the GFS has come around to the Euro now for the weekend. Cold shot, moderation later Saturday into Sunday with the clipper, and as we approach 10 days instead of the PV spinning over NY/NE it's well up into Canada.  Better for storm chances anyway.

Big storm threat 22-24...if that storm bombs we end up with bitter cold air diving deep, if not, not nearly as brutal.

I vote for that scenario.  It's a lot more interesting than dry bitter cold boredom.

If I could ascend about 1000 feet above my house it would be mid/upper 50's now.  Here it is dense fog and 39.

Catskills areas over 2k feet are all over 55 now.

Mid 60's from SYR west to BUF.

Meanwhile..,,,an example of why ak won't be warm even if it torches aloft is ground truth here today. Why is like pulling teeth to get 50 in a warm pattern...lol. Tomorrow though the rocket man may show up.

I guess you have not read my posts over the last 4 days? This weather sucks, period. If its not going to be sunny and 60 this is a completely useless cool up or whatever its called these days.

I want snow, and lots of it, thats why when it snows i am up until 2am watching it, enjoying it, playing in it, taking pictures in it, just so happens the last two winters have sucked. Rubbing warm temps in faces? How old are we?

You are a strange bird.

Typical LL. first threat of snow and he will be back.

Better than the old days when he used to give storms names like "my precious" or issue weather statements
