Pattern change on our doorstep - will it deliver the goods? General Discussion/ banter

Didn't you also only expect like 3 days above average with this mild-up? I think most on the forum know that with the exception of a late December underperformer it's been a tough couple months for you. We all have slumps... chin up... it'll get better!

No.that is incorrect. I knew it would be  a mild week and said that..it's been a muted meh warmup again as most folks knew..though a few mets were throwing several days of 50's to near 60 around.

How's your wintry appeal system coming along this week? The one you dedicated a whole blog to. Is it on track?

Well it's not the cutter with rain that some of the op runs and tv people were honking lol.

I've had a great winter forecasting. I've nailed every snow event..And the return to winter on the 15th.

It does appear likeI will have missed the wave this week.

not really, plus winter is not returning on the 15th, high in the low 40's is not winter, but that's cool at least you're out there putting ideas out.  We can't win them all.

Thankfully most folks don't live in areas where it will be in the low 40's the next 2-3 days

I know. The coastal plain, valley, and city centers are the least populated parts of the region!

Seriously though I feel good about the pattern going forward. We'll have chances and things to track. Anything is better than this boredom.

Living in the SE CT area of Mass..you've become very bitter. We talked about it quite a bit last night..Your area is just like SE Ct except in cold coastals

it's just been a bad stretch. wait until this pattern evolves and you're on the western fringe of the redeveloping clippers and getting a wind-blown dusting while areas E and N are getting hammered.

Or better yet a clipper with a deformation weenie band of 6-8 for Danbury, Shelton, Bridgeport, and New Haven while KTOL is sweeping an inch off the driveway with a broom.

Yeah, I see pieces of vorticity coming thru in the northern stream up here, We may cash on some of these, But i think the period after the 18th has some of those better chances as long as the PV does not come to far south

Like I said awhile ago....1/18 onward.

Oh yes
