cyclone77
Europeans good for something. why i even bother to look at american models more than 12 hrs out is beyond be. I don't know about for up there but the Euro was one of the most aggressive models for this system for this area up until the 12z today. It's almost like it got all the other models convinced that this would be a decent system further NW and then was like psych!!!!

wisconsinwx
Europeans good for something. why i even bother to look at american models more than 12 hrs out is beyond be. Euro sucked with this too. First it showed no precip at all for most in the region until a couple days ago, then it was too far NW, only in the last couple of runs did it become semi accurate. All of the models had their issues with this event, though the GFS was most realistic in showing scant totals due to the warm upper layers. Hoosier
I have no idea what's gonna happen here tomorrow. Think we could see as little as a dusting or as much as 2-3" so the safest bet for now is to probably stick with about an inch in case the extremely wet ground hinders sticking at first or a slower changeover to snow occurs. Good luck. I'd just try to use a blend of the globals and disregard the RAP/NAM.
Thunder Road
spring and even 100 degree summer temps can't cum fast enough.. just not our yr, I don't care how much time is left for it to snow. well then
Thunder Road
Precip ended without any IP or ZR. Meanwhile, the 0z GFS spits out 0.26" for here tomorrow. Wasn't it too far northwest with the precip shield today?
Stebo
Pouring over here, 50 degrees too. A nice night, especially after a Packers loss.
Thunder Road
All of the 0z GFS individuals have mby getting at least 0.1" tomorrow. A few are over 0.25". Will be interesting to see what actually transpires. A Hoosier Surprise perhaps? http://raleighwx.americanwx.com/models/gfsensemble/members/00zf024.html

michsnowfreak
Pouring over here, 50 degrees too. A nice night, especially after a Packers loss. Its funny how long its been warm. Still the dirty plow piles in parking lots but its amazing how fast it went from looking like deep winter to spring. Luckily the cold is knocking on the door. Tomorrow looks like a race between the cold and precip shutting off. Rain should redevelop later in the afternoon and end as snow, the question is....how much will fall? This describes my exact situation today with the 12z GFS Ensembles, and that is precisely what happened. 100% sleet/freezing rain to this point, and it's about to shut off. Not a lot on the East side, maybe if you lived west of US-23 you have a shot at some accumulations.

Geos
Haha. It's ending as a mix right now. Must be colder in mid levels on the SW flank of the precip. Only thing I can think of. Edit: Man, I don't think one model nailed this down mostly right.
BowMeHunter
Ask and you shall receive! DSCN1430.JPG DSCN1429.JPG is that a white towel on the snow board lol.. got way more sleet accumulation on all surfaces than you. surprised the ground is that much warmer on Mt Geos or did you have more freezing rain? The sleet came down, then the freezing rain compacted it all. That white is compressed styrofoam. I figured that was good to use, since I don't have to repaint the board itself. The very back edge is pretty much all snow. Will take a pic in the morning if it looks any different from the pictures above.
