Down to 31 here.  Clouds thickening over quite nicely.  Was 51 here early this morning before sunrise.  I passed right through the cold front on the way to work.  Truck temp dropped from 50 to 43 in about 15 miles.  Pretty cool.

Still riding my initial call of 1" for here.  Hoping for more, but this system is extremely tricky with such a narrow zone of accumulations.  New Euro didn't do much to instill confidence lolz.

I once drove through a cold front and my windows fogged up almost immediately.

Nothing like a Flood Watch for heavy rain in January. Meanwhile, QPF keeps going up and inching closer to what the GFS was showing yesterday with amounts nearing 2" in spots. This would be on top of the widespread 0.75-1.00" we got yesterday morning.

Drought? Lol. In the last 4 days the ground in SE MI ground has received 0.4-0.8" water from snowmelt, 0.75-1" rain now another 1"+ rain and possibly a touch of snow.

While "drought" may not have been the right word to use, we can certainly use more rain. By December 31st, Detroit still had a yearly precipitation deficit of -6.32".
