buckeye
It IS a bonus especially if you are in a area like this that has forever come out with the shorter end of the stick. Back east i got alot less snow but ala we did not get these endless teases. ALWAYS a storm ( atleast every 5-8 yrs or so or less a few times) that delivered the goods and more so which helped make up for the bad in between. A move is needed for me ( easier said then done ofcourse. lol ) as this place has done nothing but make me hate ma nature which i had thought was impossible. This area is a f-ing joke where REAL snow storms are concerned. Same sh!t different year. lol Now there is my rant. there should be a rule that you are not allowed to post in this thread while under an advisory, watch, or warning. dmc76
37F, partly cloudy, rain on the way, with snow melting. Mother nature can go suck one. Rain? Maybe some at the onset. Still a good shot at 2-4".

Hoosier
I hate days like this...it's warm enough to not feel cold outside but still not really warm enough to fully enjoy it. Only about 3 weeks until meteorological spring!
michsnowfreak
Yeah I have seen 4 myself, Jonger just is in a terrible spot or has a bad memory. Since 1999, I have seen 7 storms drop 10"+ but just 1 drop 12" (1999). Im almost positive 1992 and 1994 were 12" here (have pics my mom took but too young to remember). Northern_IN_Wx
Snow to my south and east in late December...nothing in January...snow to my north in February. I'm at 13" for the season...not one snowfall over 3" and no hope for the next 7-10 days. Just awful. Maybe severe season will produce!

Trent
Officially at CLE it's been almost 2 years since the last 6"+ storm. The last was 8.9" on Feb 25, 2011. Seems like an eternity.

snowstormcanuck
No complaints. Spring could arrive tomorrow and I'd be content. Next storm's up for grabs. I'm not making any claims on it. If I b**ch about getting shafted, may I be banned from this bb forever.

cyclone77
Taking the 00z GFS verbatim through the 25th we stay below 9" for the season. F'g pathetic. More than likely it will change but this winter has become utterly demoralizing to say the least.

I agree with this, I am more than content with how this winter has played out especially as of late, even with last night underperforming here. ukrocks
GFS says the lower Ohio Valley gets crushed over the next two weeks, I'll beleive it when I see it. Don't want to sound whiney, but I'm starting to think Kentucky is going to get shafted again this winter. The snowstorm is always seven to fourteen days away. Climo says we should see a 4+ inch snow every winter. This could end up being the third winter in five years without one. For me personally, I want a ten plus inch snowfall, last one I saw was in December of 2004. Missed one in Louisville while I was in college, it's time for the big one. Had to rant a little. I know I'm from Kentucky, and I have to be realistic. But I'm getting deperate. May be time to go snow chasing the next time a big snowfall is within four hours of my house. We should have scheduled a group vacation to Ontario...or CT. Of course, it doesn't absolve it for having it happen in your own backyard. Some day... Lol Imagine how bad he would be if he was living near DTW and have major snow event after major snow event to Underperform. Its the same thing as here on a bigger scale. And its because people love to use the NAM clown maps to determine disappointment. It makes no sense because we know clown maps are a joke, but its seen year in and year out. Outside of GHD, most warning criteria snowstorms here have NOT underperformed in recent years, in fact many actually oveperform. DTX forecasts 8-12", we get 10", NAM clown maps had 15-18". Thats the same idea as BOX forecasting 18-24", Joe Schmo getting 21", but NAM clown maps had 48"+.
Hoosier
From a regional perspective, I've seen worse patterns than what's coming up. From a MBY perspective, I will continue to remain skeptical. I'm in total show it to me mode after this rotten stretch.
weathergy
While this winter has been better than last year in several ways. To me, it's shaping up to be more of a nuisance winter. Nothing exciting, just mostly nickel and dime snowfalls, and bitterly cold. The kind of winter that almost everyone hates. It just disrupts people's lives without providing much in the way of excitement. I hate having to go outside and shovel 2-3" off my driveway every other day. There's absolutely nothing exciting about that. To be honest, I wouldn't feel much different if last year happened again. I guess the only huge positive from this winter is that it kept people like Josh from committing suicide.

Chicago WX
Looks like I'll get to mid February, and beyond, with a whopping 2.5" of total snow IMBY since the start of January. And the 0z GFS has another rainstorm on the 18-19th. Sweet. This winter is f*cking awesome.

This winter is f*cking awesome. I could have lived with this winter had the big storm ( possible storms ) stayed the fuk away from I95. As if we need more salt poured on the wounds which is what that amounts too. Give us a bomb or two in areas who has not seen one in a decade plus and then they can have at it again. Enough is enough already! This winter ( and recent winters i suppose ) along with several people have made me bitter when it comes to this stuff. sigh

At least for me I have recent, yet fading, memories of a big snowstorm (Feb 2007). In the end, I don't really need much, other than just sharing in a little of the love. I understand my snow climo, and it sucks donkey. Just give me something close to normal for the season. But that's not looking at all attainable at this point.
