skierinvermont
Svalbard, the Kara Sea, and the Barents Sea are experiencing their warmest winter ever with temperatures 11-15C above average for December. That's about 25F!!! It's an even warmer winter for them than it has been cold in Siberia and China!!!! Northern Quebec and parts of the Archipelago have also been having a scorcher of a winter with temperatures 8-9C above normal. That's about 15F!!! I was going to inquire if this thread, considering the OP, was because of the cold Asia threads. Never mind.

Ed Lizard
Let's not make this about Climate change k? This isn't a spillover between you two from the CC forum? It just looked like that to a casual observer who avoids a politicized forum full of arguments and bannings. ETA: Nothing personal, really, you seemed rather restrained in the most recent locked thread.

ETA: Nothing personal, really, you seemed rather restrained in the most recent locked thread. It's not a spillover from anything from CC or anything personal, but I did find it kind of silly that Jonger has started making threads about every significant cold spell across the world in the general forum. One thread I could understand, especially given the meteorological significance of cold spilling into Eurasia instead of North America. But starting a second thread about essentially the same cold pattern for Eurasia seemed a little overkill. Especially given the hyperbole, caps, and Jonger's CC opinions and posting in the CC forum. Why isn't he making threads about heatwaves that are just as far, even more, above the 20th century average as the cold spells are below? Are we now going to start threads about every cold spell world wide?
