I'm confident that gfs is underplaying low level cold but I wonder if it will have time to set. A better situation would be overrunning into deep cold which this wont be. Hope for the best. Nothing is worse than having a favorable large-scale pattern only to have it amount to nothing with those brief subtle changes that sometimes happen.
