The 00z euro weenie maps definitely were cold in nctrl ma and points north and had icing signal. Did not see 12z.

12z wasn't quite as cold, but the CAD signal is still there on Friday. It wouldn't shock me to see some marginal frozen/freezing precip to start, but I doubt it would be a big deal.

Man I would kill for even a normal period of winter. These last 2 seasons have been abysmal and that's putting it lightly. Just horrible for a winter weather enthusiast. How do they do it in DC. I'm at the point where I'm almost ready for warmer weather.

So true! If the pattern sucks in the end I'm calling it and pushing the warm button.

This winter has sucked big here

again, but the patten is definitely different than last year.

Results are almost the same however.   When its not your year its not your year, but it still sucks hard when it's not your year two years in a row

I know its not over but with every passing week the odds are clearly less in our favor.

yeah, you guys are having a tough go of it on the CP so far.  Back here in the interior Rt 2 corridor we're doing much better - although we missed the early November Nor'easter.  I have about 5 or 6" still on the ground, with lots of plow berms.

I haven't had it all tht bad. It's just the oncoming wintry pattern has flags. And if it fails..I will need some time off. At least until the next model run....

I measured 11 inches today in undisturbed areas ...which doesn't mean much since we blow like hell here and it's mostly uneven.

But mine is pure powder and it may not have the staying power of the stuff you guys got down in CT.

Massive snow here still...39-43 the next 2 days won't do much with low dews and clouds Wed..A cold Thursday and CAd, 34 rain Friday.. So Sat and Sunday will have to destroy it

In from a great night at Wachusett. Few crowds...tons of snow there, both natural and manmade.  Best conditions in a couple of years. They will survive the imprending fire in good shape.

15.2F here now

I love it... In a week we will be over the worst of it I hope

Yeah I think the ski resorts including WaWa will get out of this fine. If the Euro is right, both of us may even have some natural snow pack still leftover, though I'm sure the exposed areas would be bare. I'm still guessing mostly just piles survive for me, but its possible we survive better than that. A lot will depend how warm it is friday when we get the precip and then how long we bust through the surface warm front on the weekend.

They have made so much snow there lately. Really underestimated that.

Anyway, got to keep an eye on that sneaky ice possibility. Maybe enough can be non liquid to give the pack a crust.

BOX is still keeping it conservative wrt the highs on Sat/Sun... understandable at this time.

WBZ still shooting for frisbees in Dorchester

MET is underwhelming regarding temps tomorrow and Wednesday,

I still have a solid snow cover w hich didn't move much if any at all today. Early January sun angle ftw. Solid cover since the snow began 12/29. Not bad for almost in Boston.

Temp is 30 with td 25 so I suspect tomorrow could be the start of a blood bath..lol.
