wx2fish
I love a little vodka cold once per winter, but I want it with at least a semi decent snow pack. I'll pass on the -25C 850s with bare ground showing. Let's get a snowy 2 weeks and then drop a -30C H85 through here for 2 days and then repeat the snow. I agree. Id rather have snow, but wouldnt mind a short arctic blast provided we have a good snowpack on the ground.

ORH_wxman
Didn't NNE just have some vodka? Yeah but nothing extreme. Not like -25 departure type days like those outbreaks in Jan '04 and even for a time in Jan '05. I'd like the shots to be more brief and in a more active pattern like Jan '05. Ginx snewx
Yeah we are about 2 weeks now with snow pack...it has looked like winter for a while now after the poor start to December. It easily gets lost how nice that can be when we are so worried about a 55F day next weekend. For the life of me I never understood people who think like that
NorEastermass128
WOW @ Sunday! I usually enjoy anomalous warmth in mid winter (so long as something good is not too far behind --- and I think that will be the case.) I bet the Texans will feel right at home too. Kickoff at 60 degrees in mid January? Wow.
weathafella
Speaking of vodka, I just returned from Trader Joes and came close to buying an $85 bottle of scotch but opted for the Glenlivet 12 year for under 50 which should be fine. Good radiator going this early evening but clouds moving in.

dendrite
Didn't NNE just have some vodka? I was 14/-4 on 1/3, but I want a day with highs in the single digits and lows -10 to -20. Jan 04 brought back to back days of highs just below zero here and 8 days with highs below 10F which is almost unheard of for this area. I don't need that much cold, but a 1/24/11 would be fine by me.
