It could be a little tricky at the onset of snow, and then perhaps if this really winds up. It maybe something where you start snow at 34F or so and then cool to 31-32 perhaps. Of course this is all track dependent.

Watching matt noyes blog, it seems like we could have back end mixing issues as well. With that warm air getting pushed in on a NEast wind shift. At least we have a a winter storm to follow!

Major snowstorm coming....

1-2' amounts now likely from Atlantic City to Boston, with higher amounts close to the deformation bands....This will play havoc with Christmas shoppers. Check your emergency preparations and grab and have your plans in check by 12pm Saturday

I've been on this page for awhile now.

Dave wanted to react to that...did you hear that? But I don't think he wants to take on Will

The euro ensembles weren't too far from that. I know those two are legend, but the pattern is conducive for lows to stall. Also, take note of the low that retrogrades from just north of Maine into the Canadian High Plains. I've never seen that before...ever.

You can see this on the gfs and euro.

Funny you mention that I was thinking the same exact thing. It's such a weird wx pattern.

I can't really find a good KU analog with a retrograding PV like that.... probably because it's so rare.
