Boch23
As promised here is some pictures of Darby creek. It's the most frozen the creek has been since I can remember. The first was taken from a bridge on scottdale and hilldale aves. The second is taken from on the ice a little future up stream. The third and forth are near the septa bridge. . If we get heavy rain is there any chance this ice could cause problems down stream?

ChescoWx
Still a bit below freezing here in NW Chesco after our AM low of 14.8 - still a shot to sneak above during the next hour before temps start to drop - current temp is 31.
greg ralls
I left KoP to head to Collegeville at 3 PM on Friday and got home at 3:25 PM. Glad I took 2 hours of vacation and left early, because that commute probably would've been 90 minutes instead of 25 at 5 PM.

RowanBrandon
GFS a little juicier with the clipper. Gives the area some light precip, though surface temps rise a bit as it passes to our north.

Till that goes on my signature, snow threats still loom. If you look hard enough you can actually see adam jumping in puddle of slush like a 2 yr old does the first time they experience rain. Harbourton
Here's my concern that the coldest air of the year produced virtually nothing in terms of snow. The next cold shot is less cold and retreats ahead of the the Tuesday storm because there is no upstream blocking in place. Then we go back to a pattern of cutters with seasonal air behind that requires a thread the needle type situation to get good snow until we get to the MJO neutral situation in late February. Not saying something can't happen but just my own nightmare .

The snow chances are usually in the front of the cold or as its retreating with clippers scattered in between.
