As promised here is some pictures of Darby creek. It's the most frozen the creek has been since I can remember.

The first was taken from a bridge on scottdale and hilldale aves.

If we get heavy rain is there any chance this ice could cause problems down stream?

Not liking the medium-long range discussion by the top mets this morning. We may be on the verge of the dreaded "winter cancel" after Saturday's clipper?

Yup and I am warming up my leg for the potential punt Jan 31. Looks like one or two nickel and dime chances only before another early spring kicks in

Don't worry guys, it definitely will snow now. I added the video i shot in the woods around conshy of snow falling into my sig. Till that goes on my signature, snow threats still loom. If you look hard enough you can actually see adam jumping in puddle of slush like a 2 yr old does the first time they experience rain.

Here's my concern that the coldest air of the year produced virtually nothing in terms of snow. The next cold shot is less cold and retreats ahead of the the Tuesday storm because there is no upstream blocking in place. Then we go back to a pattern of cutters with seasonal air behind that requires a thread the needle type situation to get good snow until we get to the MJO neutral situation in late February. Not saying something can't happen but just my own nightmare ;) .

Usually that happens when you get a cold blast like that, its usually dry. The snow chances are usually in the front of the cold or as its retreating with clippers scattered in between.

Or, you know, when you have -NAO. The +NAO killed the cold shot last week. It kept everything suppressed and OTS
