I'm ready for a torch. Almost destroyed my tanker trailer due to this cold weather. The vent pipe froze up beyond where we could see it and in an unusual place. I make it a point to make sure that air is flowing through the vent whenever I load or unload, and it wasn't. Had I not caught it, I would have sucked the tank in like a crushed soda can.

It would have looked like this...

Just saw this now, freakig awesome! I've seen similar videos with my FD training. Never gets old.

Still feel our best threat in a while falls in the first 5 days of February. The DGEX has the system in it's long range:

GFS 'hints' about it:

GGEM had it last night:

All are featuring plenty of cold around in the Northeast. PV is displaced slightly South, so a slider isn't out of the question either. Just some signs that things turn cold AND stormy in early February as the STJ becomes more active as well.

For the people who always ask why I hate snow, yesterday's f*cking commute can go a long way toward answering that question

I escaped from Malvern at about 3:20pm, and was lucky enough to make it to Marlton, NJ before 4:30. I saw how frigged things got behind me when I got home. It was absolutely pouring in spots along the Schuylkill, so I was surprised I only saw one minor accident. The snow never got to that intensity in jerz, at least not where I am...
