Stovepipe
I was talking to my folks in Paris, TN this morning. Yesterday the radar showed precip on them for most of the day with temps never getting above zero. They said barely anything hit the ground, only a brief period of light sleet. Pretty amazing the radar can be that deceiving. Must have been some pretty dry layers up in the atmosphere.
DaculaWeather
Yes, it evaporated. Any type of ice/sleet etc. is picked up easily by radar, but just because it sees it doesn't mean it's reaching the ground.

NCSNOW
Those are some supercooled raindrops outside at lunchtime. Talk about a shock we are in heavy fog with rain that feels like melting flakes and stiff NE wind pushing windchills down into 30's atm.

calculus1
I see it's above 80 F in Waycross, GA currently. Columbia's just under 80 F. It's close to a 40 F difference between Hickory and there. There's a huge temp and precip gradient between the haves and the have nots.
