Temperatures seem to be holding up a little more than I would have expected.  My forecast low from NWS is 18 F tonight, but I'm still stuck at 30 F right now.  Overcast clouds aren't going to make it too easy to drop either.  Further to the east in NC, it appears the temps have begun to fall much more quickly.  Our posters in TN are really experiencing the cooldown too.

It seems I was correct on doubting my forecast low.  When I left the house at 8:15 AM, the temperature was at its lowest of the night at 22.5 F, about 4 degrees shy of the forecast from GSP.  Clouds did it again.

Interesting weather night in Weaverville. Low temp was 25.3° @ 12:25 am, High temp was 42.0° @ 2:56 am. We fell back to 30.5° @ 8:43 am. Current temp is 32.7° with some of our strongest winds this year.

Same here Don. We hit out low at about midnight at 21 degrees then by 5 a.m it was 35 degrees bow with very gusty winds we are down to 29 degrees. Quite the roller coaster with temps the last 12 hours.

Temp is slightly rising but humidity is dropping at 9%/hour and is down to 41%, the dew point is dropping at almost 5º/hour and is 28F. Cold dry air is filtering in with breezy winds from the NW. Those should begin to turn to the NE later today.

EDIt: LOL! It changed in the time it took me to write this.

Dew Point has dropped 4 degrees in 5 minutes.
