The entire SE forum consists of NC. We are left out in GA and SC and AL and MS and FL and VA. If any other state is mentioned, it will be considered an IMBY question.

Thanks for clarifying that.

To the mod that deleted my post: See how easy that was? You could have just said what Metalicwx366 said. :blahblah:

Well, VA really being in the southeast is debatable.

I'd say southern VA can be considered SE (Our weather is more similar to NC than DC) and every discussion in the Mid Atlantic forum is centered around DC metro anyway and the rest of the Mid Atlantic is forgotten about.

Do you see any other state being mentioned? This event looks the most serious for GA/TN and mountains of NC. The only one posting about Georgia is gawx and TN is Valkhorn annd Teneeseswxnut

I post about Ga.  No one listens to me, but I post anyway.  Steve posts about Ga. and Dawson, and Delta.  Occasionally Cheez chimes in, and lord knows you post, but since you are down in the southern hemisphere somewhere, I'm not sure if you count. lol.  How's your summer going ?  Looks like more drought coming for you and me, even it is a wet drought :)  A few tenths won't even mess up the roads down here.  Too many folks have to get to WalMart, and they warm up the roads.  T

All I see in the system thread is North Carolina and Virginia. Are there not other states in the southeast? Since when is Virginia in the southeast anyways? Send that to the mid-Atlantic sub forum where it belongs.

Ahem. It says southern VA?

So, what's been more overrated this winter? The great patterns we were supposed to have or Duke's basketball team?

That cuts really deep, Brick.  You had to go there.  :gun_bandana:

Why would the other SE states need to be mentioned in a thread about the upcoming storm threat if they are largely not going to be effected?  I guess someone could post "There's not going to be any wintry precip in the largest portions of MS, AL, GA, SC, and FL."  But, what's the point?  No one is banning posts on the weather in those states, but they're not in the bullseye for this storm.  (Wait.  Do we ever really know who's in the bullseye until after the event?)  You're welcome to post in the dedicated forum about the effects of this storm to any of the SE states, if you can actually take it seriously and post something other than "It's not going to snow."

I'd definitely like to lay claim to VA as part of the SE.  Well, maybe not the northern sections, but we'd definitely welcome the southern half of the state.  :D

Wilkes is the worst. He posts that train wreck of a home made map and then tells people they should put a NAM snowfall map in banter. Sheesh. Him and Brick need to film video...that would be hours of hilarity before it turned to just pity.

I was actually giving him credit for having the kahonies to put the map on the thread....until he opened his mouth and inserted foot. You kinda got give a little credit for trying.

If you want to post about another state, go ahead.

Let's do a little math here, once again.  :nerdsmiley:

1.  There are more posters on this sub-forum from NC than from any other SE state.  (OK, that was a guess.  GA would be close.)

2.  Most people care most about the weather in their backyard.

Taken together, it is more likely that a post would originate from a poster who resides in NC, and it is most likely that he would post about impacts to his home state of NC.  Ergo, we have the majority of discussion centered on NC right now.  It's just probability, it's not a conspiracy.

Can we coin a new phrase?  I think we might have a few cases of region-envy occurring here.  Or maybe state-envy^_^
