BIG FROSTY
Van Denton FOX 8 10pm.....still appears some wintry weather headed to the Piedmont on Friday. But it looks like this system may really dry out as crosses the mountains. The air east of the mountains will be quite dry. I have seen systems like this produce decent snow in the mountains and more in the east with very little in the middle (Piedmont)

gritsnc
I mentioned something on the other thread about Van Denton saying the storm was going to be heading into a lot of dry air. Maybe he's on to something...
ILMRoss
Tonight was awful. NC State embarrassed themselves, NAM was wacky, GFS was pretty bad... If the Euro lays an egg too, tomorrow could be a sad day on this board.
gritsnc
I feel bad for Van Denton getting called a "not good Meterologist" when I mentioned his name. Poor Van. Is Michelle Kennedy not a good one either? Cause she's singing the same tune as him pretty much. Regardless of what models are showing, things can always change. MotoWeatherman
The 500mb flow out of the wnw on the GFS spells doom the further east the system or phantom system gets.

Bevo
Yes, the nitpicking is a little much. If someone is actually replying about he run or the discussion I don't see how it is banter. It's getting hard to know where to post. Instead I am supposed to post everything in here I guess where it's become a free for all off topic thread which is not what it was intended to be when he banter head was made. What exactly do you think "banter" is?

eyewall
From our suicidal brethren on the Mid Atlantic forum tonight: I wouldn't call having a season total of 0.5" the snow capitol of anything. Brick Tamland
Even if it's not a lot of qpf, it could still be bad for the roads.
