I'm ****ing sick again. Any tips on how to get rid of a severe cough?

Musinex is the best stuff- Active ingredient is guaifenesin so you can find it in a generic name and save some $. 600-400 mg per dose every 4-6 hrs. Causes no weird side affects.

Sipping on warm whiskey with honey before bed is good too. Sip, not body shots.I've seen on TV how you young people drink your liquor. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Disclaimer: may have misspelled guaifenesin , even with my glasses on I can't read the small print.

The doctor has me taking Azithromycin and Lidocaine. That stuff got rid of my other symptoms. They told me I had a virus. I was negative for strep throat and Flu. If that wasn't the flu yesterday then I don't want to know what that is or feels like. I'll try some of your remedies. The Ginger ale worked for my stomach.

Small possibility the meds are giving you that nausea , so try to eat a little before taking them. Yogurt will also help to restore some good bacteria back into tummy land and combat any other "crappy" issues that may come down the pipe..if you know what I mean.

A Z-pack and Lidocaine? Man....what have you been doing?

Seriously though - it sounds viral (as most coughing ailments tend to be) and there's nothing you can do to "cure" it.  Coughs due to colds/strep/etc will almost always last a minimum of *18 days.

*18 days is from my aunt and uncle - both published doctors. Question them not me.

See not such a bad thing having a girl hanging out on the club house. Sometimes we are full of useless information.

I am assuming you're away from home and your Mom and being sick sucks.

I will never forget my 21st B-day with the flu, 3000 miles from home, crying, watching Johnny Carson and wanting my mommy!

Lol! Problem is, you're way down in cad country and I'm way up here in the snow armpit of wake county.

Maybe Brick and I can do a road trip and come down there. We could stop in Charlotte and pick up Burger and we could get Andy and Delta and head on over to the Waffle House.

Whadaya say, Brick? You down?

Just noticed this record from the NOAA GSP data for Greenville/Spartanburg:

LATEST SNOWFALL                          7 May 1992

Why don't I remember this?  I was in high school - you would think that would stand out.

On the GSP records page it is listed as a trace.  It was high school, so maybe you had more important things to worry about, like prom or something.

I think your right. I just have to get over it. I haven't improved any than earlier. Yesterday I was 103 degrees. Now I'm probably 100 or 101. Crazy how I'm sweating and freezing at the same time.

The yogurt helped with the stomach problems.

Just so everyone is aware so you're not worried. I'll be on and off this week. Not too bummed about the bust, but it did stop me from doing a lot of work and this upcoming week is stacked with real world work! Of course that may all go out the window if the runs get better and better over the next seven days.

Lately things just don't seem the same
Actin' funny, but I don't know why
'Scuse me while I kiss the sky.

Need to help the sky heal.

Cold hanging around, moisture not disappearing.  We'll need the sky before long.  Winter ain't gone.

SP....I dug your sleet video, but my sights are set high, very high.  It's why I don't freak on a busted chance.  If I can't sled on it, on city streets, tthe night after, it doesn't count for much. Pretty is nice, but if it don't rock and roll, it's just pretty.  And I'm disappointed so much, so often, it takes the edge off.  T
