The anemometer is bent and the main unit is below the tree... I'm not sure if it was knocked crooked or if it's actually bent. I have no way to check it right now since the tree is in the way. The main unit may be alright. I might go take it off the pole if it is.

Wow!....that sucks any structure damage?

You don't have to be a weenie to see what is happening to this storm ....

We get it, you've been crapping on this event since it started showing up on the models.  I think the 100 or so posts you've made about it have gotten your point across, you don't think there will be much snow.

Brick meltdown in 3....2....1....

Lol....Burns, I'm finally seeing it's all theater.  Like that awful Hyasinth woman, on the British comedies.  She never changes, because it's theater, and it wouldn't do to have her listen to reason, or have her husband strangle her.  She plays it to the hilt, because it's Acting!.  Theater of the Absurd.

By the way, how'd you get that pic...you got cameras in my house, Burns?? T

But this constantly happens with regards to snow here. And the mor eit happens, the more the public is going to tune out and think the weather folks are crying wolf. And when a big storm does come, people are going to be caught off guard. It just gets old happening time and time again.

Honestly forecast confidence has been extremely low for this storm throughout...the public already tunes out most of the media when it comes to snow around here, it's the south..no one believes it. Someone told me I was stupid for saying it might snow if it was 70 a couple days before...that's the reality of the public eye lol.

The changeover is overhead here...right on schedule with the 5:30 estimate. Something is coming...may not be a lot...but something is coming.

No wonder the public keeps thinking the weather folks are always crying wolf when it comes to snow around here with things like this happening time and time again.

But Brick I know you've seen WRAL and there 1-3 forecast. If we get an inch then there forecast was correct. I don't believe that would be crying wolf.

And your what, 40 miles from Winston-Salem?  I bet they flip by 7pm no problem.  RPM had them flipping around 8pm.

That's so sad, that is your brand new toy. Hope you can get back to operating norm before the next big let down storm of 2013.

Crap, Brick is rubbing off on me.

This is a total fail and it happens over an dover again. All this hype and nothing when it gets down to the zero hour. The models are constantly wrong this way more than systems overperforming based on what the models say. So tired of this.

Do you live in the future, Brick?  I didn't realize the storm was already past and this one was a bust.

I think Widre is the only smart one in never believing the models and forecasts when it comes to snow here.

Both of you live in places that are climatologically unfavored for snow. You can't whine and gripe about not getting snow if you live in a place that isn't typically favored for it.

Even Knoxville isn't really favored for snow. We only average 9" a year (and today was just a third of our average).

Meanwhile, states in the deep south like Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana are getting more snow than central NC. It doesn't make sense.

Wait, you don't enjoy watching Hyacinth?  Mrs. Bouquet?  She's great, for laughs, that is!  I pretty much only watch British TV because I find it much more well-written than most American stuff.  I don't even watch American TV anymore except for the Big Bang Theory:  that's comedy gold!

Seriously, why is it easier to get snow in the deep south than it is central NC? We're further north, close to the Atlantic. How do they get colder than here for snow? And when it is cold enough here, it's dry. It doesn't make any sense at all.

We average quite a bit more snow than anywhere in the deep south, Brick.

They have had more snow than we have the last two years.

And we had a lot more snow than they did in 2009 and 2010.  Averages are averages for a reason, after all.

Frankly, Brick, you're going to get snow so just sit back and enjoy the ride.  I'd still think 2-4" for your area, to be honest.  We've close to changing over here in the Triad and all seems to be on schedule so far.  There's really no reason to panic.
