burgertime
its time to stop looking at model qpf maps. That's for sensible scientist, not for me! Ha I agree, but something keeps me pulling back to it. I'll take your advice though for real as I'm not getting much work done today.

jburns
From my brother in Bham. Great example of snow rates trumping warm ground. It will eventualy melt from the bottom up but coverage and accumulation is no problem.

jburns
I smell a long change over here in my area.. Yeah,me too. I'm not expecting the 4" now. I figure I had better clarify my comment before someone comes on and tells me the forecasted time for the changeover hasn't arrived. I know that. I also know that I am still 10 degrees above freezing with 100% humidity. It will snow but not for a while. Just about any outcome is still on the table. Disc
Not liking the trends regarding this stuff getting on the trees and powerlines. Already have heard a transformer pop and I've heard multiple reports around the city of lines being down. So far so good at my place, though. Brick Tamland
What the heck is going on? There has been talk of this being good all day long and totals even going up, and now we get to darkness and closer to changeover time and things start to back off. This is why it seems we can never trust the forecast around here with regards to snow. Always something it seems to mess things up.

Brick Tamland
Great, I get home and now it looks like we aren't going to get squat here. Models have been looking good all day but then it waits until a few hours until it was supposed to changeover to back off on totals. You can't even trust the models on the day of the event when it comes to snow around here. They are constantly wrong. Tired of this crap.
rduwx
Man this one's going down in a hurry. I'm afraid Brick is going to jump. LOL, I think you're right. I still think he will end up w/ the 1-3 forecasted.
Brick Tamland
You can't even trust the models the day of the event. This is absurd. No one has any idea what happens when it comes to snow around here. This is ridiculous.
