My concern is Mr. Cold Rain isn't on board it seems. I joined this forum right about the time he called his own 'shot' around Xmas a few years ago and we got bombed on IMBY, get on board man! :snowing:

An aside, I kind of have to agree with chapelhillwx, metalic dude seems hell bent on being the trollio of upcoming bust areas...

Ha! Actually, I'm kinda warming up to this one. I like the trends today. Maybe I'm just a little March 09ish, but I think a repeat of lots of reports of thundersnow out west and some moderate snowfall around here is probably a good bet. And given where we were a couple of days ago, I'm good with that. I just want to see some snow falling.

Ideally, we'd have a colder air mass established, good HP to the north, and a strengthening ULL tracking south SLOWLY (as opposed to a weakening one, screaming through). But hey, I'm onboard for a nice event, especially north and west.

I get pumped hearing all the possibilities and analysis. Really fun stuff! And who knows....this baby might have some more surprises in store before it's all said and done. :)

I don't wanna hear any complaining from Brick. There is usually a 3-4 inch gradient across Wake County and I'm in the SE little corner that always gets the least. He's in the money spot and don't let him tell ya any different.

I feel bad for Jon...he's farther south than me. But maybe the Pack can come through for him tonight at least! :)

I live a half mile from brick. It is the best spot in wake co. for snow. Right on the county line.

That's a good question. My experience with these types of systems is that the don't go crazy here like they tend to do for some of the western and northern areas (I posted that in the other thread too). I would guess a sloppy inch or two here.

It's because you have your snow shields activated. Deactivate them and you may cash in.  :P  :P

I remember that storm and I remember our employee in Forrest Park sending me pics and my hair curling wildly from the steam coming out my ears. "How the hay field can Atlanta and points south get snow and me NADA." My biggest fear with this system is the kids will be home on Friday with no snow to play in or periods of no power. Usually that spells a poker marathon where Mom is writing checks to cover her loses.Oh heck they get all my money anyway, and they are learning valuable poker skills for college.

Well, darlin' if you don't know the pitfalls in teaching the kids to play poker to win, I can't help you.  Hint...teach the kids losing cards...then when you want them to do something, you say, "ok, lets cut cards for it"!  Only after having taken the Magic for Beginners Tutorial, of course :)

I love these storms because no matter how hard you ride them into the final turn, you won't know where they are until you look at the vapor loop a few hours out.  Mystery weather is always good weather, even if it]s bad, lol.  T

Yessirree! That is the place to be.

Yeah, if we get snow we usually get it more here than the rest of Wake County. I just hope it happens. I have a feeling if we can just see some fall with this we could end up with a few inches. Would love a deformation band to come right over us and sit for a while.
