NGaWxNerd
That's as of now. ULL's are like herding cats. They go where they decide to go, do what they decide to do. You might end up with all of it. Might end up with a now cast, and still not be sure What's pathetic is how the cold air can't make it into Ga. Not a good sign in the long range. Counting on a storm to bring it's own cold is a losing proposition most times. Two winters in a row where any artic blast stops at the Tenn. line is spooky scary. Sure it gets cold even in a bad winter, but no freezing in Cuba on the GFS, well that's Mayan Poxyclipz stuff, lol. T I saw that the ULL is now a double looper and Burger mentioned this earlier but did not elaborate. Might I pick your brain for any thoughts on this development? jburns
No storm mode? If this was the NE we would already be 48 hours in.

Bevo
I should, by now, be used to the local GSP NWS not even hinting at a potential mess in their forecast. It still surprises me though.

Stovepipe
I guess I better stock up on beer tonight on the off chance the NAM is right. Even 3 inches can shut this town down. If 6 verify, well that's just Poxyclipz stuff.

The thing is as has been mentioned you wanna be on the NW side of the low as this is where the strongest rates are gonna be as it's rotating. CLTwx
Hey guys...OT a bit but it is the banter thread. Just got a brand new Panasonic BLC-140 camera and wanted have it up for the potential storm "ish". (My view will be of Uptown Charlotte) Having the damnedest time trying to get it up. ATT says I need a static IP. Anyone have a link or insight how to get er up and running? TIA!
Cold Rain
These things seem to always weaken as they slide east across the Carolinas. I'd like to see a solid 2-3 contour low stay in tact or strengthen as it moves east and stay south. I have never experienced thundersnow.
Snow haven
Are temps going to be cold enough in south central nc for mix or snow?

If 6 verify, well that's just Poxyclipz stuff. I have mine already and I'm in the "almost no chance of snow" area. But...I have extreme data to support my purchase. I spent some time cleaning the hardwood floors today old school-bucket and cloths, on my hands and knees .Historical data points to the fact that every time I go to the trouble...every kid in the hood ends up at my house because school is canceled. I'm thinking the ULL will stay just a little further south and slow ever so slightly so as to screw up my hard work today.
WilkesboroDude
Wilkes County Schools Closed Friday and Monday. Snow or no snow. Great time for it too snow so Spring break will not be slashed.

I would assume that this is not for spring break (it's January for Pete's sake) but Friday being a teacher work day and Monday is MLK Day. You are being a dork right now, son. The Piedmont counties might lose a day of spring break if they miss Friday.
