Exactly. Same crap over and over.

So what happens if it snows Thursday?  Does it have to lay it down from Richmond to Daytona for it to count in your book?

You seem to know enough to be dangerous.  So I presume you realize we are not just looking at 850 lines...

Well last night he claimed it would not snow ANYWHERE outside of the mountains. So if anyone gets any snow outside of the mountains he will have failed miserably.

It depends? Snows where?

Just for ****s and giggles, take this rendering for example.  Would you call that a winter bust (map is for purposes of this discussion only although it does somewhat reflect my initial thoughts)?

Just because your area is prone to winter suck doesn't mean it is for everyone.

I think people are going to jinx us talking about a great pattern for Fenruary already. Same thing was said about December and January.

Anyway, it looks like nothing but rain for here. And the the real cold will come and it'll be dry. Then it will warm up a little bit and rain again. And this will probably keep repeating for February until we get to spring.

I don't care what my area sees in the winter. I don't expect cold and snowy all winter. Just about a dozen freezes and warm and dry afternoons. I only look forward to tropical action and severe action whenever it occurs. Yeah I would call that map a bust. Looks like the mountains only get in.

So then we can basically discount your winter input...whew!

I know you're excited about the cold and dry. Didn't you post something about that being your favorite pattern?

Okay, I've got an IMBY question, so I'll post it here in banter.  I am curious as to the warm bubble of 850 mb temps depicted on hour 54 of the 18Z NAM.  See boxed portion below:

Snow shadow over the foothills...NAM nailed the 850 mb temp bubbles in WNC for my last sleet event.

If I remember correctly, it too went warm on us about this time frame but nailed the 850 mb day before. Future runs will be telling and lots of things can go wrong for me being this far north-west.

I don't know if that's the case. It seems to be more narcissism than just having a disagreeable personality. But that's just my opinion.

Maybe it comes with being 20 years old - I don't remember.

I think he's just playing the whole contrarian thing just because...just kinda having fun with it
