NGaWxNerd
A lot going on in the discussion thread...long range, 18zNAM, clippers, animals foraging for winter, ice in MS/TN...son of a b-bomb Oh, and the Euro Weeklies come out tonight What time due the Weekly Wienies come out? I'm 2 beers into this day and probably need to pace myself. Yes I am drinking, in the middle of the day, on a Monday, ...don't judge me, envy me. Cold Rain
Anybody wanna take a guess on the EW? I'll go cfYES vs the Euro Bleaklies. I think they'll be warm and the CFS stays cold. I've been wrong 3 time in a row, so I'm hoping for 4.
NGaWxNerd
I'm taking one for the team around here. New fridge was delivered, and there was no cooler room for the beer during the transition. Rather than let it get warm and possibly turn skunky.....

I happen to benefit largely from living in "Wedgeland", so I'm fortunate to not be experiencing the same warmth everyone else seems to be living through (with the exception of the last 3 days - even then the highest I've reached at the house was 71). Bevo
3rd record high broken/tied here in 3 days. That sucks - but it does help me understand why you tend to lean toward the warm outlook more.

dsaur
Haha! You're making me get the dictionary to be able to read your posts. A weather forum shouldn't be this hard! Lol, I knew persiflage from some novel or other, though I don't recall ever using it in a sentance myself. Raillery was new to me too But I like that one. I'm thinking about using it on the pretty lady across the street, but I don't think I can shout loud enough for her to hear, and, anyway, she'd probably call the cops again. Ice is edging closer. It won't be long now. Within 3 weeks, I'd say. T

We had a widespread 1-2 inches of fantasy snow right within our grasp and then it just up and vanished. It sure was pretty on the clown maps though....shame you couldn't see it. calculus1
62/40 for Jan. +7 for Jan so far. 66/42 for Feb. 73/48 for Mar. Man, with numbers like that, you don't really have a winter season. It's like a torch year-round down there. I guess you have to play the hand climatology deals you, but you have very slim chances of seeing winter precipitation types with those norms. I'm with Bevo, nestled into the CAD wedge on the east side of the mountains. It has its perks. There are definitely better places to be if you like snow, but there sure are a lot worse places to be too, as evidenced by those numbers you just posted. Hopefully, you can experience the snow vicariously through the experiences of others on the forum, if you even like snow. I can't always tell by the nature of your posts. Brick Tamland
Could be a 20 degree difference in temps tomorrow from Raleigh to Fayettville. Crazy. Meanwhile the deep south is getting more winter weather than here. Weather is just wacky.
Brick Tamland
I know, GFS and Euro have been outstanding!!! All the models seem to be awful now when it comes to the long range. They can get sunny and warm right but can't seem to handle winter at all around here.
