It is not going to snow in our area.  Period.

"the cold air is really, really lacking with this system."

Since mankind first appeared on this planet, we have never had a snow when Foothills used the adverb "really" twice as a modifier to the verb "lacking" when referring to cold air.

"It looks less and less likely the closer we get to Friday." THIS is an inaccurate statement. For one thing, the threat really just started showing up, so to declare a real, objective trend in either direction at this point is premature. And second, did you read all of the comments in the Discussion thread? RDU gets snow on several of the latest model runs. That doesn't mean it's going to snow. It doesn't mean it won't snow. It does mean, however, the smart thing would be to reserve judgment until better clarity is shown.

I can't speak for anyone else on this board, but I like you and I think you're a good guy. But just the same, when you post stuff that violates the boundaries of logic and reason, I might call you out on it. And you have the right to do the same to me.

This is a public forum, and if you're going to post, then you also have to accept the risk that if you say something inaccurate, dumb, or repetitive, then you might get served a big plate of snarkiness. I've said stupid stuff and I've gotten snarky comments too. It's all part of the game. But it might be wise to think twice as long before posting something.

I've enjoyed saying snarky things to you in a fond effort to help you keep from getting a head too big for your hat.  After all you predicted and brought in an unheard of storm, Mr CR BigBritches, lol.  But perhaps snarky is the wrong word.  Perhaps persiflage, or raillery are the better descriptions of what it is we do here.  The pedestal is large, and there are many ways to find ones self upon it :)   T

LOL!   I am quickly losing interest in this event.

On a good note, the Euro looks very seasonal through day 7.... :axe:   I know I am going to get yelled at for the last comment, after all alot of people think we are approaching a great pattern.

Seasonal would be a great pattern :)  Tony

Haha! You're making me get the dictionary to be able to read your posts. A weather forum shouldn't be this hard!

That's not just cold, that Fishel Cold.  His twitter account is still silent by the way.  Nary a tweet since the Jan 9th blatherings.

I'd like to coin a phrase here.  That is most likely Mayan cold.  Looks good on the long range but when the day arrives, nothing.

Yeah, I used to be excited for a new pattern, but that's starting to wane fast.  I'm still looking for post 1/20 for said new pattern, but the "normal" ensembles and the flipping/backtracking operationals have me rolling my eyes at myself.  I give it another week and if we're still not shown anything big within 7 days.....boooooo.

Good one!

Personally, that map makes me giddy even if it is just cold and dry as I'll be at Snowshoe next week.  They'll be able to make all the snow I'll need.
