(They would seem much more likely to have any type of advisories, especially in winter, than would FL counties.) As for threads, just need enough to keep the board alive every month of the year. Should the South-East take charge and go full throttle mode for hurricane season? No Gulf coast region and a lot of people go away off season so to speak if there is not severe weather. Maybe even 1 overall summer storm thread for pictures, tracking, etc...for events that are not widespread. Who knows...let's see what the weather throws us. Wilkes, The main BB has a pretty good main tropical thread imo. I think it is good to use the main BB so this BB isn't so fragmented on every event. Unless and until a tropical cyclone is actually a threat to the SE, there's no need for a SE thread on each system. I know you're relatively new to the forums and all...but my advise for you is to sit back and let the people post as they may. Usually in the summer there is one main obs thread. If we have a big heat wave, threads are sometimes started just to talk about the specific threat. Same goes for tropical systems if there is a consensus among models, and not when the GFS shows it 7-10 days out. Summer is usually a laid back time of the year on here and everything is appropriate enough to go in one place. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Too bad it is in a down year for Carolina after the best players went pro. State fans wanted to talk about 5-0 all the time in football, when Carolina beat State 13 straight times in basketball. Enough is enough I really don't see why it bothers folks so much that he starts a thread without getting a consensus or permission. The guy made a joke about healing skies and it seems like the backlash from it doesn't fit the crime. Leave the guy alone. He loves weather like all of us here. Let's remember why we are all here together and let's heal the hurt feelings. Wait. It was a joke? He said he's going to publish a PDF and gathering data on it now, and called the SE the "tundra"...If it's a joke and he's trolling, he's helping the cause and deserves the backlash...that's what happens when you troll -- you do it for attention. If he's serious then obviously you're misunderstanding something here. Final plea to Wilkes: Are you joking? Btw: Iceman is a giant troll and is not real...obviously. My family and I have been graduates and supporters of the University for many, many years. I actually have family that live up that way and I hope to live up there again one day.
