Great, I get home and now it looks like we aren't going to get squat here. Models have been looking good all day but then it waits until a few hours until it was supposed to changeover to back off on totals. You can't even trust the models on the day of the event when it comes to snow around here. They are constantly wrong. Tired of this crap.

LOL, it'll be ok Brick. You will probably still get the 1-3 you were forecasted.

Seriosuly, this is looking like a total fail now. Not even 4 hours before it was supposed to start changing over.Total crap. Winter storm warning and all day talk of deformation bands coming this way, thunder snow, 2 to 4 inches with locally heavier amounts, and now it doesn't even look like anything. You can't believe the models at all when it comes to snow around here. And if anyone gets the forecast right it's nothing more than a lucky guess.

And it looks like after this nothing but cold and dry or just rain. Another fail for winter.

Actually, it looks like it's going to be warm again. Go ahead and chalk up the MJO Phase 8 and the super monster mega historic stratospheric warming and the long term -AO as well.

Dude, you really need to breathe and calm down........we live in the south.....we don't live in Fargo, North Dakota.  If we did, then the models would have better handles on snow, accumulations, etc.  This was never supposed to be a Carolina crusher.  Take a Xanax.

Yikes. Not good...nope not good at all.

oh well this isn't the first time this has happened.  lets all take a deep breath and move on and hope for the next storm to be a classic out of the gulf of mexico and be a slow mover with the cold air already in place.  I'm disappointed also guys, Go Figure.

I noticed this aswell. Thankfully this storm took everyone's mind off the super cold that is not showing up anymore. I think we'll have one day of cold before we head back in the 50's.

Keeps your pants on.  Changeover wasn't expected until later tonight maybe around 8pm in GSO.

The anemometer is bent and the main unit is below the tree... I'm not sure if it was knocked crooked or if it's actually bent. I have no way to check it right now since the tree is in the way. The main unit may be alright. I might go take it off the pole if it is.
