What I see happening is the euro backing off that ridiculous warmth and things looking less awful on it over the next few days... Maybe it even drops a cold front south or something and weenies will say "heck of a way to run a warm-up" when they see it...but when the middle of next week comes around at least one day ends up well above normal

I thought the euro op was perhaps too torchy to be honest. I mean that's absurd. I'm speaking of the entire CONUS...not just here.

But I can see it now, they'll be posting maps of 12z temperatures again and calling it a cool up. During this whole mess, I think a warmfront will hang up south for a time, but it may cause more onshore flow..not necessarily cold air drain from Maine. Then perhaps some low moving west...followed by battle ground on the East coast. That's when we hope the front is east.

I always remember that magic thaw number. 53 degrees, like magic you will see bunch of stations sitting at 53 degrees. Do not ask me for stats, totally a random observation. OT plumbing drainage leaks behind walls suck, frigging headache, oh the joys of being a homeowner. Where's that cave in Western Maine.

The 12z run looked like May lol

Cold out there tonight. Everyone is so worried about next week they're missing out on enjoying some great winter weather

I went for a walk yesterday and today. I love this weather, but as someone who looks forward to winter every year...hate to see mild weather ruin my fun. Back to mud next week.

lumping all non Mets together and tagging them all as weenies like what was said today, not by Scooter. is like saying all Mets are JB and Henry M

Yes it was a little dig at you....I was hoping you would respond. Just having some fun with the Sultan of 2m temps. Let's all hope we get that frot to stall east of us after day10.

What's funny is I totally missed that. Lol. I mean I was just looking at modeology today. But do not question, again not you, my snow reporting, cripes Garth and I live 5 miles apart and our year end totals have been within a 1/2 inch for 3 years.

The on- air Mets talk about the warm up with a smile. They act like we've been in the freezer for weeks. When did a couple slightly below normal temps become such a hassle. Pisses me off. You don't like it, move down south.

Just curious for those in CT, does Ryan do that on air?  Honestly not trying to be a wise-a$$ as I know he generally loves weather and is an excellent, knowledgeable met, but I am curious if upper management either directly or indirectly pressures folks to act that way.  Are the majority of faux-met rip and readers are actually doing fist pumps when they see primaries cutting west of Chicago, ear to ear grins with firehose zonal flow?

most of the viewing public does not want cold and snow in January...I know that's hard to believe around here but go downtown in your local area and survey 100 people...

Ryan is matter of fact but of course his on air teammates act like we should live in South Carolina.

Not disputing that really.  In fact it gets to the root of my question... Most real mets DO want cold and snow... But if they get a little excited talking about possibilities are they "talked to" by exec producers, or given the stink eye?  I mean, Harvey and Dick used to get excited, and you could tell they really loved snow, but maybe they had enough seniority and cachet that they didn't have to pretend.

all I heard was complaints today. One of my coworkers and I had this same conversation, people complain about the weather, hot, cold, rain, dry. Most of the time I just say, and you are going to change it how?

my current time favorite is Tim Kelley, he is exactly how I would be. Loves snow and surf and shows it.
