CoastalWx
Speed of system translation is an issue. If this thing were 3 hours slower even would be the difference between a midland and a major snow on this Euro run - in fact, none of the runs slow this down enough. Still, if it puts out 1.00 liq equiv at 30F that's probably good for 10-12", and that certainly on the cusp of a major event. Would think the hills in NW RI would likely jackpot. By the way ... nice clipper coming down at D4. Yeah the H5 center jumps to the east quickly which limits the duration and comma head whip back NW. Still thinking 4-6 here, but easily could be more. weathafella
Look at the banding setting up in nh/vt/me. I bet somewhere there is the jackpot for snow totals.

moneypitmike
I just posted this in the Obs thread, but brought it here to give a sense of the punch this storm has. Good things coming in if this first burst was ANYTHING like what's going to come in later. This was vintage October 2011-type snow. This all came in about 20 minutes. No sh*t. The road pictures are Rt. 2 and Rt. 112. Now, just light weenie flakes. lol

TalcottWx
People nw of a Burlington Framingham Webster line or somewhere might be dealing with some serious subsidence looking at where the nw of the comma head would be on the models. Add in the fact the c.f. might be in prime location for me jerry Scott this is looking nice.
