NW trend........ftw

.LOW PRESSURE OFF THE MID ATLANTIC COAST WILL INTENSIFY RAPIDLY

AS IT MOVES TO THE NORTHEAST TODAY AND TONIGHT...STAYING JUST OUT

TO SEA. HOWEVER...THE EXPECTED TRACK OF THIS LOW HAS MOVED A BIT

WESTWARD THIS MORNING. THIS WESTWARD BUMP SHOULD ALLOW FOR WINTER

STORM CONDITIONS ALONG THE COAST TONIGHT...AND AN INCREASE IN

SNOWFALL ACROSS THE INTERIOR AS WELL. THEREFORE...A WINTER STORM

WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE COAST...WITH THE MOST SNOW

EXPECTED ALONG THE MID COAST OF MAINE. THE WINTER WEATHER

ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN EXPANDED WESTWARD AND NORTHWARD AS WELL.

DEPENDING ON ANY FURTHER TRENDS THIS AFTERNOON...IT IS POSSIBLE

WARNINGS MAY HAVE TO BE EXPANDED A LITTLE FURTHER INLAND.

Blizz that's not happening. Picking up things where they left off with ctsnowstorm, Foxboro better not get 9". I woke up to increased QPF amounts and was like, "sh*t, that has a chance of verifying." I'm still saying 7" there. I upped the totals on my forecast by 1-2 inches for most areas, bringing Norfolk county anywhere between 4-7. I don't see the NW shift like you were implying but the cranked QPF up probably b/c of better enhancement at mid levels, I haven't checked.

It did tick NW at 0z and 12z today relative to yesterday's runs with that more pronounced s/w. but yeah I think the mid levels are pretty unstable for this especially under that comma head.

Looks like about 0.75" for you...you'll be on the cold side of this with like 12:1 ratios with good dendritic growth after 0z. and I expect you to come in with 7-10". Enjoy and embrace the snow! :)

Just saw Upton extended the WSW back this way. Still think it's gonna be close though...thinking crap ratios could hurt us in the beginning and we only briefly get into the heaviest banding. My conservative nature has me thinking just 3-4" here.

I'm usually wicked conservative but I think we verify at least 4-6", probably 5-7" coast to rt 80. But I can definitely see your rationale as its kept me from going much higher.

Yeah that s/w definitely improved overnight. Still saying 4-7" for my area but with this slight tick friggin Foxboro got included (when looking at QPFs). I think there will be a sharp cutoff near me just to the south and hopefully Foxboro is north of that lol.
