Mr. Windcredible!
I wonder how much the later start time has to do with BL warmth on the GFS. When we were talking 10 am start time...it was hard to believe we'd get above 34 before onset. With start time closer to 1....I could see us up to 36 before onset. Doesn't seem like much...but just enough to cause BL issues.
CoastalWx
NAM is insane south of BOS for about 3-6 hrs.
Yukon Cornelius
This thing continues to surprise. Looks like totals out this way will be bumped up a bit as well. Is it because of the NW tick or is the system slowing down a bit (hence the later start time)?
ctsnowstorm628
Looking at the nam I could totally see a screw zone just NW of BDL. Combo of subsidence and lack of VV's due to the coastal taking over.
Logan11
Hard to understand why a storm with such as offshore track should have all this rain with it, except for like the Islands and outer Cape of course.
dryslot
The qpf distribution is not a whole lot different then 06z's run

I think we dynamically cool pretty quickly with 0.15" qpf falling before 21z per nam. Still 29F here. NAM has us ~32 right now fwiw.

moneypitmike
Wow--nice expansion of the qpf wealth. Still expecting 3-5", but just the same, the lenght of the turnpike is now over .5". Where's the HRRR? (j/k)
weatherMA
There could be a mini screw hole in CT somewhere. It might be near BDL where they may be just on the west side of any comma head. Do you think my area is just far enough east to avoid that zone? Sorry for the question.
CoastalWx
Do you think my area is just far enough east to avoid that zone? Sorry for the question. I think so, but I can't rule it out...hell even I may be on the border here with such intense VVs to the south. When storms do that, weird sh*t can happen. The amount of lift over SE MA and the Cape is off the charts. Tremendous fronto forcing.

CTWeatherFan
i would imagine a good chunk of eastern MA has some good wind. the nam and euro are pretty darn nasty out here toward midnight. Hate to ask an IMBY question, but what are your thoughts for here on the Lower Cape (near Brewster)? Family is up there tonight.
