Just got back from running some errands and there's about an inch and half or so on the ground with moderate snow. Roads up here are about what you'd expect them to be. Kind of a mix between snowpack and slush. I saw one tractor-trailer having a hard time on just a slight grade up in Hometown on 309. Guessing he didn't have good tires. I was going to try and take my Jeep up one of the steepest hills in town which is probably close to 20% or perhaps even more, but even with fairly new mud tires I broke loose, and rather then tempt fate, I just said forget it and backed out of it. noctilucent Posted December 29, 2012 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Somebody said rippin'. Well, over the past 1/2 hour, it was. My .2" earlier was just an eyeball....but it must have been more. An ACTUAL measurement 30 mins later yielded 1.2". Temp still at 30.9 and light SE winds. Based on the Adu-Weather radar, the R/S seems relatively stationary.
