illinois
I can remember when I was young and the beauty of a walk down my parents lane at night after a snow and the utter stillness and enveloped you in the middle of the woods on a snowy evening. In that spirit I thought I would post this thread with the first entry. One of my favorite poets, Robert Frost and Stopping by a woods on a snowy evening. http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/171621 While perhaps some what corny, I believe appropriate for an evening like tonight across my part of the country. Chicago WX
Good stuff. Nothing like the night with/after a fresh blanket of snow. The poem adds a nice touch.
Fickle Heights
"Ballad of the Ladies of Bygone Times" had that line "Where are the snows of yesteryear?" It has nothing to do with weather of course, but it seems appropriate for this forum at times, lol. http://www.bopsecrets.org/recent/villon.htm
