06Z GFS is somewhat interesting. At day 6-7 it sends a low into the Ohio valley with overrunning  (probably mostly some sort of frozen) for N MD. Then develops a secondary low on the cold front to the south in S Carolina. This low then proceeds up the coast. Low isn't a powerhouse by any means but it looks as if it is able to tap into the GOM and with ample cold air being pulled in from the north and west this would probably be a decent snow event for the northern and western sections of the mid Atlantic.

Looking at the ens means for the available models it would seem there's a pretty good signal for a storm in about a week. With a real airmass in place in front of it, we might have something.

 

if we can't squeeze a little snowstorm out of the next pattern, then...well...i don't know what to say.
