SACRUS
Easily over 2 inches of rain from this storm. Been a wet few weeks. Rain ended here, winds a bit calmer but still some strong gusts. Some thunder in the distance. Well not as white as 2010 but another fun night of tracking this Boxing day.

Northwest NJ
The variability in the weather from location to location is crazy! i went from 28 and snow to 31 and heavy sleet expecting a quick changeover to rain to down to 29 with heavy sleet and snow in a matter of 30 minutes. Winter refuses to give in to unfrozen precipitation here in NW NJ.
TWCCraig
Actually just heard a rumble of thunder out on the island too. Still gusting 60-70mph.
jm1220
No thunder here but still very strong winds, probably gusting to 60mph at times. Wood planks are scattered around in the street (wood piles from homes gutted after Sandy that haven't been picked up yet), and some trees are listing over a bit. Hopefully we got rid of any weak ones from Sandy. Luckily we've kept power to this point (knock on wood).
Absolute Humidity
Picked up 2.9 in the bucket. Very impressive rainstorm and weather event here despite the lack of snow. Can't complain about that. We had our snow down here in November.

masomenos
What's the deal with the Teterboro snowfall reports anyway? Their reporting of snowfall is really inconsistent from storm to storm...sometimes they report totals...other times nothing. You'd think for such an important airport they'd always report. masomenos
They aren't an official climate station so they can report snow whenever they feel like it. You should be glad they report anything at all. Don't really care much either way, but I just find it a little strange. I'd say they report about half the time while other second order sites like HPN and Caldwell almost never report at all. Why would they be so inconsistent? You'd think anybody in that position would have the desire to have a nice consistent set of data for climatological reasons.
