West Milford Highlander
Back to heavy snow and high winds as the radar fills in a bit - went to sleet for an hour during lull - 4.75 inches right now - snow really blowing around tho
TWCCraig
The center of the low is near Norfolk according to surface maps. It's not the eye you see on radar.
IsentropicLift
Radar is really intensifying over the mid-atlantic/delmarva/SNJ as the new low continues to organize. Large area of precip in excess of 0.5" per hour developing with pockets of 1" per hour.
earthlight
We've transitioned to snow after what appears to be near 2" of snow/sleet/slush/crap.
Rjay
I find it funny that TWC still only has extreme northern NJ seeing any accumulation. And thats 1-3"

nzucker
Radar is really intensifying over the mid-atlantic/delmarva/SNJ as the new low continues to organize. Large area of precip in excess of 0.5" per hour developing with pockets of 1" per hour. The storm is going to wrap up quickly though...there isn't that much backbuilding on radar, just intensification of an already existing area of precipitation. Back edge is basically in southern NJ. IP 31.9/30 2.5" total Winds: NNE Still hoping the really strong band moving in can change us back to snow but the 850mb freezing line is now draped over NYC so it's probably going to be sleet or rain. nzucker
We've transitioned to snow after what appears to be near 2" of snow/sleet/slush/crap. WOW....the SPC map shows your 850s above freezing. Is this inaccurate? I thought everyone down there was cooked, and probably me too...I wonder if the coastal can get us back to snow with these heavier bands rotating through. IsentropicLift
Pushing 4" here in Pompton Plains. Back to moderate snow after a brief period of light freezing rain/sleet mix. You can see the rain/snow line sinking back to the south once it got to about Paterson thanks to the heavier precip taking over. Hopefully a very good sign. If that's as far north as it gets there are going to be a lot surprised folks in the general public by morning.
IsentropicLift
Perhaps some subsidence taking place over NE NJ thanks to that mega band nearing Long Island.

Animal
considering i am already pushing 5...yeah. radar looks to be moving due north currently heavy stuff down in central NJ. If we can keep all snow in our area, we may be able to add on another 4 inches.
TWCCraig
That line in NJ probably won't make it here until at least 9PM. There's also another line forming around Norfolk which could develop further more and give us more precip.
