Radar is really intensifying over the mid-atlantic/delmarva/SNJ as the new low continues to organize. Large area of precip in excess of 0.5" per hour developing with pockets of 1" per hour.

The storm is going to wrap up quickly though...there isn't that much backbuilding on radar, just intensification of an already existing area of precipitation. Back edge is basically in southern NJ.

Still hoping the really strong band moving in can change us back to snow but the 850mb freezing line is now draped over NYC so it's probably going to be sleet or rain.

We've transitioned to snow after what appears to be near 2" of snow/sleet/slush/crap.

WOW....the SPC map shows your 850s above freezing. Is this inaccurate?

I thought everyone down there was cooked, and probably me too...I wonder if the coastal can get us back to snow with these heavier bands rotating through.

Pushing 4" here in Pompton Plains. Back to moderate snow after a brief period of light freezing rain/sleet mix. You can see the rain/snow line sinking back to the south once it got to about Paterson thanks to the heavier precip taking over. Hopefully a very good sign. If that's as far north as it gets there are going to be a lot surprised folks in the general public by morning.

This is far from over.
