moneypitmike
That is awesome, Beast reporting a foot, GO GO GO Sounds about right. I'm sure if I had measured along the way and didn't have my 'on the ground' measurements tainted by the sleet mix that came through between 4:15 and 4:45 or so, I'd be reporting higher. We're about to get whacked per radar. Yup--had aqlready started pouring large dendtrite here before you posted that. I had cleared my snow board when I was out, but the winds blowing the snow right off it. I hate windy storms--measurements suck. Still awaiting the plow.......either they're just focusing on the village as they say or it's broken down. Either way, I'm homebound for the time being. Lava Rock
.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... 8AM UPDATE... JUST SOME TEMPERATURE TWEAKS TO THE SEACOAST WHERE THE COASTAL FRONT HAS SET UP JUST INLAND OF PSM AND OFFHSORE OF PWM. SNOW IS INCREASING RAPIDLY AS BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW BEGIN TO ROTATE IN FROM THE WATER. WILL WAIT A COUPLE HOURS BEFORE ADJUSTING SNOWFALL TOTALS. COAST REMAINS A VERY TIGHT GRADIENT WITH 44007 IN PORTLAND HARBOR 40F AND THE JETPORT 29F. wow, that is a tight gradient

Yukon Cornelius
I think I ended up (thus far) with about 5.5 here in Barre. It's tough to tell because of the different depths all over, but that seems to be the average. Heavy wet cement. 31.
CoastalWx
That colder air in srn NH should begin to acclerate south a bit and then pull SE towards 128 later this morning I think as the low moves near the Cape.
teebrdsfan
wow, that is a tight gradient Flipped back to SN after several hours of sleet in Newmarket while Portsmouth just 15 miles east is rain and 40. Crazy
moneypitmike
Good stuff, Can you find the CF.................. Nice--looks like my stomping grounds of Bath are getting buried. Will that stay off the coast? Ripping snow and wind. Another bad thing about windy storms is you don't have any snow on the trees. Some on the pines, bu t everything else is bare. Snow/blowing snow good flakes.

OSUmetstud
11" OTG here with a thin crust on top because of the -fzdz...could have been an 1" or 2" more with the 6hr method...but I don't have a snow board. Great rates...some of the best I've seen in a BUF synoptic storm...but short duration really hurt the ability to make it huge. Only had about 9 hours of good snow. wxmanmitch
I haven't been out to measure yet, but I stuck the ruler in out the door in two spots and had 6" and 4". So, unofficially it looks like about 5" here, which is a bit of a bust. I was expecting more out of the front end. We started mixing with sleet around 3:30 - 4 AM, but never made a complete transition to sleet as the warm layer is very marginal and thin. As of now, I've got a 50/50 mix of pellets and parachutes. I'm hoping that once and if the deformation features solidifies over me I can switch back to all parachutes and rip for a while.
