The QPF on the Euro is prolific in NE MA and SE NH between now and 12z...something is going to go nuts with that stuff to our south...unless the Euro is just off its rocker 6 hours out.

The EURO was right.....but it's puring rain.

38.7/38

I've had it....that bomb for the weekend depicted on the EURO will go to crap. Not even excited.

Get that ball to drop already.

Yeah NWS busted big on that. They had 10-14. I remember we were ripping that apart last night. Still surprised they only got 4 I was expected about 5-8 there.

They may be able to pull out a few more inches today as the cold air filters back south..Even down here I think we can switch back to snow later this morning..but by then the heavier qpf is over

I was really against the balls to the wall calls yesterday. It looked like one of those deals where a lot could go wrong. So when I saw weenies throwing around 14", 18", lollies to 24" I just cringed. I told my mom yesterday that I liked 6-8" in MHT and 8-12" up here. Right now I only have 2-2.5" and it is blowing and drifting everywhere. It's still snowing lightly though. I only had 0.25" liquid from the snow core so QPF is appearing to bust. Oh well, they happen.

Well this is obviously a big disappointment so far, although the radar is looking a bit better.

But which weenies are you referring to? The ones at GYX BOS or HPC? Yes this weenie here said 12-18 2 or 3 days ago and lollies to 20, then lollies to 24 (in the favored foothill areas) yesterday. This was only because of 3 days of model runs of 1.5-2 qpf in our general area and an HPC map that had a strong coastal storm every day for 7 days. Also a highly anomalous easterly jet. The numbers I mentioned were matched by GYX BOS and HPC.

You know a lot about this stuff and were clearly conservative, but you are almost very conservative. Your conservatism though is based on knowledge and was warranted. I don't pretend to know much....but this wasn't a weenie fail, this was a fail by many experienced pros (although it ain't over).

FWIW ..the Euro came around big time for SNE this weekend....

Sure did. Not enough for you and me, but nice for the eastern folk.

Will go out shortly to try and get a measurement. The wind's really hampered my abilityt to do that. I estimated 3-4" of pure powder when I checked before bed last night (near midnight). But, at that point, the wind was blowing so much my deck was essentially clear. As of this morning, it currently has about 4" on it. (picnic table out back only has an inch on it still). So, I'm guessing I might be up to 8-9", but it could be more depending on when the blowing off the deck ceased.

SN+ continues.

color coding is wrong it is snowing in Manchester NH not rain

Congrats!

The zones still have me 12-16. That would mean another 8-12 today and this eve. I guess we'll see. A man can hope.

ZFP has 8-12 for here as total and that looks reasonable. We'll need to continue in this heavy stuff for a couple of hours to reach the high end, but the mid-range is certainly reasonable for my hood as we're near that now.

So, assuming this all has to make it east, I'd be keeping an eye on that.

26.7/26, winds backing to the north.

Man, this is the worst snowfall slump of my life

Jus thave to laugh at this stage,'

Congrats, Kev

Agreed!! The Merrimack Valley area of NE Mass is coming up to 2 years without a significant winter snowfall. And toss in well above normal winter temps to go along with the snow drought.......what more can we ask for???....lol
