Sorry I pulled your name out as an example - probably not a good idea, but we have not dry slotted synoptically ... yet anyway. It's been bothering me that's been bandied about and it's not just improper - it's wrong, both factually and theoretically. There's no high horse attitude about it!

All good. I learned something today. Thank you.

The low level forcing is really apparent on radar near W LI and NJ and NYC...its going to move NE...that will be a mini qpf bomb and if it can get into spots that support snow soon enough, that will let many catch up fast I think. Might be too late for me, but not too far north it could be very good. We'll just have to wait and see how it materializes.

LOL Kind of? It's material for a doctoral in human psychology.

I love snow, I'm thirilled to be getting hammered right now and I hope the coast can cash in this weekend.

Likewise happy you guys are getting it good. I had my fun tonight. Was surprised how snowy it was at rte 123. But that's always the snow slot....always has been.

Best is yet to come up north only question is any taint? Going to be an epic band somewhere in sw Maine/ese nh later

I'm north of you and I am amazed at how warm it's getting with a high up N. We started out 31/20 and now I'm like 32.1 out here in Ayer on the N side of Rt 2, and the snow is dripping off trees. Very wet.

I think I'm going to go ahead after careful consideration come to the conclusion that this system sucks! ...at least for now. I'm crashing - good luck all.

My prayer is that the coastal gets going quick enough, and I say cold in the mid levels just long enough to get in on that coastal explosion...long shot.

TStorms Incoming from NYC. It looks like some sort of a gravity wave and will probably effect CT and MA tonight before the real dry slot.

Some intense weather going on. Dumping micro flakes here right now. Warm wet air moving into some pretty stubborn cold.

You're going to get raked later tonight. It's kind of weird, the forum can be really bipolar. Look forward to your reports later tonight/morning.

I'll do my best! 26.0 now, with wind picking up. Going to turn in now, as I'll be chasing kids in the morning and doing the proverbial Working from Home thing tomorrow. Hoping to wake up to the beautiful sound of plows...

The QPF on the Euro is prolific in NE MA and SE NH between now and 12z...something is going to go nuts with that stuff to our south...unless the Euro is just off its rocker 6 hours out.

The stuff to the east of Montauk might his Mass...but will it be cold enough for them? It just seems as if the heavy QPF doesn't get into the areas that are cold enough for all snow.

Same thing sort of happened here, I managed 2.5" before sleet and rain, but the front-end dump wasn't as heavy as expected. We got stuck in a dryslot that encompassed all of northern NJ...I thought it was going to be a big thump like 1/28/09 was in Dobbs or even V-Day, but it wasn't nearly as heavy.

F valentines day - jesus christ! hahahaha.

Yeah I dunno - seems like that paper I read about climate winters going down hill in the NE is trying to work out decades too soon.

This is weird nuances going on. I mean, we were 32 over 19 type obs all day, pan wide, WITH a high parked N, and the air mass seems to warm anyway. That's annoying, but that's not it... This system is too weak is the real problem. If it were more intense, it would have bored more east, committed to 2ndary sooner, and dynamics would have taken over.
