Snow--the best heaven ever. Maybe that's why they always have flames in depictions of hell.....:)

I would like to ride my doo 800 down your road mike................ :sled:

You'd be one of many. The terminus of a trail that leads into the VT system is down the road.

Over 10" now. 2" since 11:30am!

These last several hours have been totally crazy, Chris. Looking at the radar, the edge is so close, but so far we've been able to stay a bit NW of it. I think when this stops i's going to be like turning off a light--it's either on or off.

FWIW--we better count our blessings on this because the weekend system is not going to be impact us. We'll be ripping cirrus.

I escaped the above freezing temps and rain with 4 inches OTG. This stuff will freeze into concrete later today and tonight. Great base for the snow banks. Then we add more over the weekend. Temp continues to drop as snow showers move in

Lots of folks are reporting temps dropping. Mine are rising.

30.3/30

Ive dropped a degree and still have 2-3 inches of slop that will probably freeze to cement tonight, good base for something colder hopefully.

Went out and measured and it looks like I have a 7" total from this event. I will wait to make it official as we're still getting some -SN and we may get a little upslope as NW winds kick up. It's a heavy, sleet laden snow that's very difficult to move. I have about an 8" depth OTG as I had about an inch OTG previously.

Temperature dropping steadily after touching 32° F briefly. Down to 28° F now.

100 yards I believe. All this on .005 QPF, I would be hitting the beets about now

It's amazing what the qpf can do! I'll be heading out again shortly.

I don't know - I'm still in Portland. Nice storm here, but I haven't bothered to measure. Ex lives like 3 miles as the crow flies from me, so I hope to meet or exceed that 12" mark for personal verification.

Just slant stick your way to perfection...............

Ex just texted me - claims "at least a foot of new snow" out in the distant York County interior.

GYX observations at 10-11 AM included 12" from Lebanon.

Had 5.5" with 0.60" LE at 1 PM, with +SN and decent dendrites for a wee bit. Then at about 1:05 the snow nearly stopped and 50 minutes later there's still few flakes going by. Nice bright echos to the south suggest the fun resumes in 15 minutes or so.

Things are really lighting up in the GOM now, I hope those echoes make it in. 7.5 inches here.

Sorry, but I'm disappointed. I'd say pretty good bust in our area from the 12-16" forecast. Yet, again, do these big storms ever finish as advertised? Seems like the non-events always over perform, like on x-mas. Forecast was for dusting/0.5". Ended with just over 2".
