Roads are still icy and slushy from the earlier snow 0.8" - Wxsim overdid the IP accums and 1.5 degrees (too cold) on the temp at this point. Bobby EPAWA Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Although going back and forth with the sleet/freezing rain/snow... as in heavier precip cools the column enough to change to snow then as it lightens warm air advection creeps back in... it (theoretically) should erode the warm air at the mid levels and change back to snow when the primary dies out and has less influence, and the secondary takes over. High pressure still in a good spot, and upper levels should be replaced with cold air as it makes it's progression up the coastline. Marginal areas SHOULD go back to snow. Hopefully, by the time I get to Royersford (which probably won't be until around 5:45 unless traffic is unusually light) by 5:45, the slickness will be a thing of the past.
