We never got close to our progged high temp today, and are currently at 36. I'm wondering ( :weenie:) if we'll dip back down to frzing or below as the sun goes down, or if the system will continue to bring warmer air up from the S with it...

that high is for later...your temps will continue to rise through the day and night.

Although going back and forth with the sleet/freezing rain/snow... as in heavier precip cools the column enough to change to snow then as it lightens warm air advection creeps back in... it (theoretically) should erode the warm air at the mid levels and change back to snow when the primary dies out and has less influence, and the secondary takes over. High pressure still in a good spot, and upper levels should be replaced with cold air as it makes it's progression up the coastline. Marginal areas SHOULD go back to snow.

A mix of ZR and IP continues to fall temp slowly rising now 31.2 with any luck we should get above freezing by 530 at the latest....

Roads are still icy and slushy from the earlier snow 0.8" - Wxsim overdid the IP accums and 1.5 degrees (too cold) on the temp at this point.

NWS forecast was perfect here. Had timing of changeover nailed.
