Going to be very cold come tomorrow morning also. I'm at beech mtn. Mix last night. Snowing pretty good all morning. Hoping to see a good nwf event the rest of the day. I haven't checked the mountains, but from what I can see from my window, most west-facing slopes above 3,000 ft have visible snow cover. I have been asleep since early this morning but the wife woke me up to tell me. Lol. Some good snow shower we are seeing right now and they should really pick up through the late afternoon hours along the favored areas of the TN/NC boarder counties. Well hear in Haywood really now until tomorrow morning. Looks like the snow has set in. Mountains are turning white. Cars and steps turning white here. You can really see the impacts or the terrain in the radar, and I'm hopeful for a couple of inches accumulation. It'd be fun to be on leconte! Still coming down hard. Very windy and cols. Temp currently is 25 degrees. We have 1 inch of snow now. Although with all the wind it is really hard to say. But everything is covered!
