Sorry, I meant, they are below pace, not that they are below in my sig.

The latest I had read was Philly has only had 1 inch, Boston only 7, and NYC only 5. The natives are restless in those forums too, especially on the heels of last year.

Gotcha. Unbelievable how crappy this winter has been up and down the coast.

I'm curious about Williamsport, PA. I went to college about 25 miles south of there, and looking at how storms have played out this year reminds me of 1993-1994, which was a great winter up there.

midlo just told the disco thread to get back on topic. I don't think there is a topic anymore is there?

Really, when I saw that my first thought was "what topic"?

I wonder if we compiled a list of all the ways we can be screwed out of snow just how long would it be?  I imagine someone programming models and just laughing their but off after watching storm after storm disappear.  We are like Clark Griswold in Vegas Vacation.  The models are the dealer, and they just ask us, "why don't I take half your money, kick you in the nuts, and let's call it even".

Looks to me from the NOAA climate database that Williamsport saw 1.8 inches in November, 13.9 inches in December, and 5.5 so far this January. So right at 21 inches so far on their winter. For comparison's sake, they were at only 15.6 inches for the 2011/12 winter season.

Cool. Do you have the link to the snowfall info?

Awesome. Thanks, NE Balti!

Damn...I had no idea we had over 70" up there in 93-94. I knew it was a great winter, but not *that* great. 95-96 was huge with the blizzard, then a superband that set up over us less than a week later. We then had a huge warmup and heavy rain a few days (maybe more) later that ended with a big flood in downtown Lewisburg.

No prob, mattie.

I can't even get in on the manfactured clipper excitement. Stupid models, always controlling the snow so I don't get much of any. Wish someone would re-program them to give snow.

I'm not overly excited, but I admit that it might be kind of cool to wake up to snow on the ground with some cold, cold temps.  That's so anamalous around here that it's a pretty neat, even for this warm lover.  And I might even get to see some snow falling, since the baby usually has a 5 am feeding.  At least she's good for something! ;)

I will be happy with my half inch of powdery snowfall. Nothing like a walk with flakes in the air, while temps plummet to the teens with the wind chill approaching zero!!

I consider this to be a moderate event for our area. If I lived in Richmond, the snow capital of the southern mid-atlantic, I wouldn't blink an eye.

You must be from the Deep South. Welcome to the the mid-Atlantic, it's cool you moved here!!
