ravensrule
It's like 50x easier to screw up snow around here than get it right... A better analogy is that it's exactly like marriage, very easy to screw it up but almost impossible to get it right.

Mrs.J
Interesting sky differences up here. Just to the South it is quite dark, up here a break in the clouds. My husband keeps asking what is going to happen as he works in MoCo. I keep telling him that I do not think he has to worry.

mappy
I would much rather be like you than see it totally taken away after teasing me with a 2-4" potential I knew i wasn't gonna see anything but clouds.. Didn't check the forum all night. But the storm thread did provide some good lols this morning.

WinterWxLuvr
Wow. Models giveth then taketh away. LR not promising as of this very moment. My forecast highs next week are in the upper 20's. Should I be surprised if they end up around 40? I'd much prefer a stormy pattern than an arctic pattern. Am I missing snow today because of temps or lack of precip. Heck, even yesterday I had ice covered trees and truck. Give me precip or give me 60.
87storms
the more complicated the storm, the less our chances seem to be. i'm folding. maybe we get a period of snow that barely accumulates. very exciting. next.
RevWarReenactor
Yawn, snow to our north, snow to our south. Upcoming cold pattern looks to underperform. Got to love our winters around here.

mattie g
Bring on the f'ing sunshine. It's been a week since we've seen the sun here, so I'm really looking forward to sunshine tomorrow and Saturday. Unless, of course, the forecasts bust on sun again. North Balti Zen
Can confirm some breaks in the clouds and blue sky from my northward facing office in downtown Balt City. As for the greater lolz of this system and this on-going eff you in terms of snow to our area....2/3 of NC and around 3/4 of Va is under a winter storm warning. Just amazing to look at the warning map for the region and see us once again shut out. I laugh to keep from crying. Or I laugh while crying. Bob Chill
In other news....AO is looking to go positive, NAO looks to be ineffective, MJO is going to die in phase 7, pna is set to go negative, and storm track is looking to head back west down the road. It just doesn't get any better than that.
