chubbs
The vort on the 12z nam is digging a good bit deeper on this run so far. Starting to look like the other models. Looks like we'll have SREF and NAM onboard also

Ralph Wiggum
NAM looks to be a miss. Widespread light snow. YEp...BL temps look good for some accumulation even with it being light precip rates. I still don't trust the NAM past 30 hours though.
Boreal
Friendly suggestion to the maker of this thread – consider changing title to 12/29/12. Wouldn't want anyone inadvertently sleeping through the snow on Saturday.
Ralph Wiggum
As tom said 09 SREFs are wetter. Some nice hits. Some of those SREF's are also complete misses....about the same number that give a decent hit. Just sayin...

IsentropicLift
I've actually been trying to do that for the past hour but I can't seem to figure out how. Boreal
I've actually been trying to do that for the past hour but I can't seem to figure out how. Ha. Well maybe it was meant to be. The models have been trending well as of late. Maybe we don't want to mess with that.
RowanBrandon
Yeah, I think I'm going to keep it. If someone else higher up than me wants to change it, they can, but I'm not the one that is going to mess with the karma.

Ralph Wiggum
So which models actually bring 'meaningful' precip into the region from the coastal? The Euro is alone, no?
NaoPos
still not as ampd as the euro. Wonder if the euro takes a step back @ 12z. should be interesting.
Ralph Wiggum
still not as ampd as the euro. Wonder if the euro takes a step back @ 12z. should be interesting. Probably will back off. It's been too close to the coast and too amped a few times already this fall/early winter.
Ralph Wiggum
The more I get a feel for this system, the more it appears as merely a 1-3/2-4" event. So, I support Tombo's call from a few days ago. Too early to send kudos your way, but some prelim kudos being sent anyway :-)
ChescoWx
Sure looks like a nice moderate snowfall (Wxsim has 3 to 5") on Saturday....my new snowblower may get it's first workout...

Thunder Road
As tom said 09 SREFs are wetter. Some nice hits. I find it very interesting that essentially all the ARW and NMM members are pretty deep, while all the NMB members (what are those, anyway?) are totally flat. I wish I knew enough about model physics to BS a reason why... Point is, even the SREF mean is probably lower than reality in terms of QPF because of those NMB solutions. Redmorninglight
Well at least our rain storms are getting colder with each passing event. lol. I am pulling for the euro, but it seems to be the outlier as of now.
thedude11
I guess a good sign is that it seems the latest runs of the NAM / GFS are wetter than last night's 0z runs... Certainly will be interesting to see what the EURO depicts.

Thunder Road
Just like last night, the 10 mm line on the GGEM is just a hair southeast of I-95. Probably right around 0.35"-0.40" in the city.
easternsnowman
It looks like what the gfs is saying if you're to the north or west of the city with elevation you should be all snow.
